COMPANY BRIEF DESCRIPTION
MAZVIMBAKUPA Financial Services (MFS) (Pvt) Ltd is registered and licensed by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe as a credit-only microfinance institution in terms of the Microfinance Act (Chapter 24:30). The Company seeks to provide micro financing solutions to the general public subject to terms and conditions of the establishment.
ROLE SUMMARY /DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Loan Officer will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, processing SSB based applications, assessing creditworthiness, conducting site visits where necessary, building client relationships, screening and recommending loan approvals, monitoring repayments and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Studies or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in microfinance services environment, banking, or related field.
An in-depth understanding of microfinance business.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Proficiency in MS Office and loan management software and other loan deduction platforms such as NDASENDA
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good marketing skills
Knowledgeable about Risk Management
Excellent IT skills and well knowledgeable about use of social media platforms (face book, Instagram, WhatsApp for business etc) to promote products
Conversant with submission of Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe quarterly returns
Knowledgeable about Salary Services Bureau (SSB) deduction modalities
Knowledgeable about submission of ZIMRA returns
Conversant/knowledgeable in conducting banking transactions
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
